TEGFCU’s Joyce A. Betros Scholarship

Founded by teachers, we are passionate about education. We are neighbors helping neighbors because we believe in TEG, where Together Everyone Grows.

At TEG Federal Credit Union, we’re committed to investing in the bright minds shaping our communities and want to empower them to achieve success. We believe education is key to building a stronger future, and that’s why we offer the Joyce A. Betros Scholarship. The scholarship is named in honor of Joyce A. Betros, one of the founding members of the TEGFCU Board of Directors and its scholarship program. Ms. Betros, a dedicated educator, spent 37 years as a teacher in the Wappingers Central School District. She retired from the TEGFCU Board of Directors in April 2012 after 43 years of service.

Each year the Joyce A. Betros scholarship program awards $1,000 each to three outstanding graduating high school seniors. To be eligible, students must be TEG members or have a parent/guardian who is a member in good standing. A history of academic excellence and a commitment to community service are also essential requirements. All applicants must be prepared to attend an institution of higher learning in the fall semester.

The scholarship is a one-time gift payable to the student upon registration verification at the chosen college or university.
